Albert Murphy, 81, of Bruceville, IN, passed away July 29, 2017, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.

A self-employed truck driver, Albert had served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, 40et8, and St. John Lutheran Church. Albert enjoyed camping.

Born December 18, 1935 in Vincennes, IN, he was the son of Elwood and Sarah (Blubaum) Murphy. His parents; his wife, Bertha (Clayton) Murphy; his sister, Carolyn Anderson, formerly of Vincennes; his brothers, Gene Murphy formerly of Mt. Carmel, IL, Jack Murphy, formerly of Vincennes, IN, and Ron Murphy, formerly of Vincennes, IN and a great-grandson, Michael Carter, preceded him.

Surviving is his daughter, Patty Terry and her husband, Brian, of Princeton, IN; his sons, Tim Murphy and his wife, Billie, of Bruceville, IN and Daniel Murphy of Vincennes, IN; his step-children, Alvena Deckard and her husband, Bill, of Vincennes, IN, Daniel Ivers of Vincennes, IN, Donna Carter and her husband, Mike, of Decker Chapel, IN, and Beth Kemmerer and her husband, Doug, of Evansville, IN; sisters, Judy Perkins of Vincennes, IN, Aline Hendrixson of Florida, and Donna Sutton of Vincennes, IN; a brother, Clifford “Kip” Murphy of Vincennes, IN; grandchildren, Samantha Yoder, Jeremy Christian, Talia Harner, Brian Terry, Bradley Terry, Joe Thomas, Jessica Bottoms, Kristy Keller, Eric Carter, Brett Carter, Shane Ivers, Robbie Ivers, Lodena McCammon, Janet Shelton, Libby Rinehart, and Susan Thomason, Chris Thomas, Ryan Murphy, Erica Murphy, and Aubrey Murphy; and 34 great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 – 8:00 on Wednesday, at Goodwin Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
