(DLC Media)–Two Sandoval residents were injured after the driver laid down the motorcycle they were on to avoid a collision about two miles north of Yale on Illinois Route 49 in Jasper County Saturday morning. 37 year-old Scott A. Hamilton of Robinson was slowing a white Dodge van to turn into a private driveway, but reportedly did not signal. 51 year-old  John D. Boatright went to pass the van, just as the van began to enter the opposite lane. Boatright and his passenger, 48 year-old Tammy S. Boatright, were injured and transported to Carle Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The van and motorcycle did not make contact.

A Lawrenceville man was involved in a single-vehicle accident over the weekend. Zachariah Chansler was driving west in the 1500 block of Cedar Street Saturday morning when he was reportedly texting. Chansler’s vehicle then went off the road and hit an Ameren utility pole. Chansler was not injured. His vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
