Illinois State Police District 19 Commander Cory Ristvedt announced the results of an Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement patrol in Wabash and Edwards Counties during June. There were five citations and 17 written warnings. There were three occupant restraint offenses, two driver’s license offenses and one registration offense. There were no drug or alcohol-related citations. These patrols allow the State Police to focus on preventing, detecting, and taking enforcement action in response to violations associated with impaired driving and illegal transportation or consumption of alcohol or drugs.
