The Sumner City Council met this week and approved its annual budget appropriation for the upcoming fiscal year. Among the appropriations are $358,525 for water and $179,915 for the Police Fund. The city council also passes an ordinance to raise the rates of residents’ trash collection services.
The St. Francisville City Council met last night. The city council approved plans to move forward with Police Chief Bil Darnell to enforce the city’s ordinance against camping in town. The council also received a report that work on Water Well #6 is expected to begin next week.
