A Lawrenceville woman was killed in a single-vehicle accident Saturday morning. 35 year-old Shannon Darnell lost her life when the 1969 Jeep she was riding in lost a rear tire on the Chauncey Blacktop, four miles north of U.S> Route 50. The vehicle went out of control, leaving the roadway and overturning into a ditch. The driver of the vehicle, 37 year-old Jeremy Darnell of Lawrenceville and a 10 year-old were air evacuated to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana for treatment of serious injuries.
