Local resident injured in Vincennes Car vs Train collision

Two people were injured following a car-train accident at the Minneapolis Street crossing in Vincennes Tuesday. A vehicle driven by 19 year-old Mackenzie Thompson of Lawrenceville was crossing the tracks when it was struck by a C-S-X train. Thompson and her passenger, 23 year-old Courtney McDonald of Robinson, were injured in the accident. Thompson suffered chest pain, while McDonald complained of pain to her right arm. Both were treated and released from Good Samaritan Hospital. Vincennes City Police report the crossing’s warning signals were working properly at the time of the collision.
