Lawrenceville man sentenced for meth possession

State’s Attorney, Michael M. Strange, announced that on May 31st, 2017, Robert L. Reeves, 40, of Lawrenceville, pled guilty to a charge of Unlawful Possession Methamphetamine, a Class 3 Felony. In exchange for his plea, Reeves was sentenced to 3 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, followed by one year of Mandatory Supervised Release. Reeves is required to pay a $500.00 Drug Assessment as well as court costs. Reeves was charged with possessing less than 5 grams of a substance containing methamphetamine.
