Illinois State Police District 12 Commander, Captain Cory Ristvedt, announced the results of Occupant Restraint Enforcement Patrols held in Lawrence and Richland Counties during May. There were 41 total citations and 13 written warnings. 36 of those citations were seat belt violations. These patrols provide extra patrol coverage for the State Police so officers can focus on saving lives by making sure all vehicle occupants are buckled up.
