Murder suspect Glenn Ramey was in Richand County Circuit Court yesterday. The 53-year-old Ramey is facing a First-Degree Murder charge and a charge of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault. He is charged in the Thanksgiving Eve 2016 death of 8-year-old Sabrina Stauffenberg in Olney. Ramey has been examined by Dr. Jerry Boyd as to his fitness. Dr. Boyd’s evaluation has been ordered to remain sealed for the time being. A defense motion was filed to move Ramey’s trial out of Richland County. Court officials will talk with the chief judge to determine in which county the fitness jury trial will take place. A status hearing is scheduled for June 8th to determine the status of the case and to decide where the fitness jury trial will be held. Ramey remains in Richland County Jail on $10 million bond.
