A single-vehicle accident occurred in eastern Lawrence County. Austin Wimberly of Lawrenceville was driving west on County Road 1200 North when he went through the County Road 1500 East intersection and ended up in a drainage ditch. Wimberly was not hurt. He was ticketed by Lawrence County authorities for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
