A Remington, Indiana man died Sunday from injuries sustained Saturday in a crash in Gibson County.
At just after 3 local time Saturday, authorities responded to a three vehicle crash on US 41 at Gibson County Road 100-west. They say 2 vehicles were stopped at a traffic signal when 66-year-old Kent Hayenga of Linn Grove, Iowa did not stop his semi for unknown reasons. The tractor-trailer hit a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor and then into a 2016 Ford Fiesta. 20-year-old Devin Cyr was trapped in the Endeavor and once free from the vehicle was taken to Deaconess Hospital with severe injuries.. 22-year-old Dylan Barnes of Mt. Carmel, Illinois was driving the Fiesta and was taken to St. Vincent Hospital for non life threatening injuries. Hayenga was not injured.
State Police say Cyr died Sunday morning from his injuries.
Police continue to investigate the accident.
