The Vincennes School board approved the purchase of 6 additional buses to handle some new routes and allow for the replacement of equipment. The cost will be around a half million dollars and is expected to come from the school corporations rainy day fund. The board also approved cutting the contracted bus routes from 16 to 8 next year. The 8 remaining routes will be up for bid starting next school year. Currently there are 23 bus routes within the school corporation.
