The cause of a house fire at 374 West 15th Street in Vincennes remains under investigation by the Vincennes Township Fire Department and Knox County Sheriff’s Department.
Vincennes Township Fire Chief Tim Smith says members of his department were called out around 3 a.m. Friday Morning to a structure fire at that location.
Smith says when crews arrived the home and a detached garage were fully involved with fire. He says the home had not been occupied for at least four years and that the utilities had been disconnected.
Smith says the fire is being treated as suspicious. Both the House and garage were a total loss.
