Joseph R. Robison, 79, of Freelandville

Joseph R. Robison, 79, Freelandville, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Freelandville Community Home. 

Joe was born September 18, 1937, in Brazil, IN, the son of Joseph A. and Ruth (Harrison) Robison. He married Arnetta R. Emmons on July 23, 1961. He retired as an Industrial Arts teacher for North Knox School Corporation. He was an avid woodworker, coon hunter, and an outdoorsman. Joe was a member of the Freelandville United Methodist Church, a former church trustee, ISTA, a recipient of the Meritorious Teacher Award in 1988 from the Indiana Industrial Technology Association. He served in the United States Army.
Joe is survived by his wife, Arnetta; children, Jeffrey (Leslie) Robison of Avon, Stephanie (Todd) Gadberry of Bloomfield, and Connie (Wojciech) Golab of Camby, IN; grandchildren, Jocelyn and Kendra Gadberry, Sarah (Jeff) Rossier, and Justin (Kellie) Nichols; great-grandchildren, William and Edward Rossier; sister, Patricia Mercer of Danville; brothers, William (Betty) Robison of Brazil and Albert (Sandy) Robison of Brazil; and brother-in-law, James Stearley of Center Point, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Stearley.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 21, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Bicknell Chapel with Jim Beery officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM also at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Freelandville Memorial Cemetery.
