KNOX COUNTY BALLOT

The Knox County Ballot some high profile county races.

All three Democrat Knox County Council members, Tim Crowley Brian Downen and Mike Thompson are challenged by  Republicans David Culp,  Dan Pfoff and Harry Nolting. Voters are choosing 3 out of the six.

Two Knox County Commissioners seats are up this year and they are in District 1 and 2.  In District 1Democrat incumbent Donnie Halter is challenged by Republican Tim Ellerman and in District 2, Democrat incumbent Larry Holscher is challenged by Republican Trent Hinkle.

There is one school board race in Knox County and that’s in the South Knox School District where  Tony Mahan and  Michael Edwards are contending for a seat on the board.

In state national races in addition to the presidential election, voters also are voting for their candidates in Congressional District 8 with Republican Larry Bucshon, Democrat Ron Drake and Libertarian Andrew Horning. The Governor’s race has Republican Eric Holcomb, Democrat John Gregg and Libertarian Rex Bell.  A key US Senate race in the nation is in the Hoosier state as Republican Todd Young, Democrat Evan Bayh and Libertarian Lucy Brenton are looking to have the seat being vacated by the retiring Dan Coats.

 

 

DAVIESS COUNTY LOCAL BALLOT

Looking at the Daviess County local ballot there are races for Recorder, Treasurer, County Commissioners District 1 and County Council at Large.  There are also three people running for 2 At-Large seats on the Washington School Board.

For Recorder, Republican Jamie Chapman and Democrat Lisa Potts are on today’s ballot.

Running for Treasurer are Republican incumbent Elaine Wellman challenged by Bill Harder.

For County Commissioner District 1, Tom McCracken is the Republican and Mark Smith is the democrat. McCracken won the primary over current commissioner Dan Jones who was appointed to the seat vacated when long time commissioner Tony Wichman stepped down from office.

There are three Republicans and three Democrats running for three At Large seats on the County Council.  Republican incumbents Mike Sprinkle and Jo Ann McCracken are running with fellow GOP party member Kent Norris.  Democrats in that race include Ron Critchlow, Bill Dobson and Michael F. Potts.

In the non-partisan Washington School Board race, Incumbent Randy Bouchie is being challenged by David Lennen and Mike Traylor.

There two Indiana General Assembly contests that affect Daviess County today. For State Representative in District 63, Republican Mike Braun is challenged by Andrea Hulsman. In District 62 the candidates are Jeff Ellington and Steve Lindsey.

Voters also are voting for their candidates in Congressional District 8 with Republican Larry Bucshon, Democrat Ron Drake and Libertarian Lucy Brown.

Everyone in the state today of course choosing their candidates for President, US Senate and Indiana Governor.

 

PIKE COUNTY LOCAL BALLOT

Looking at the Pike County ballot….

For County Commissioner District 1 Republican Jeff Nelson is challenged by Democrat Brad Hampton.

Commissioner District 3 has Republican Ryan Coleman facing Democrat Heath Abell.

Four Democrats and two Republicans are running for three Pike County Council At Large seats and they are incumbent Republicans Denny Bishop and Greg Willis challenged by Democrats Todd Meadors, Mark Norrick and Gary Joe Sutton.

The County Clerk’s race has Republican Lana Griffith and Democrat Ashley Gideon.

The County Coroner’s race features Republican Ray Brooks and Democrat Gretchen Harris.

There are two contested Pike County School races voted on by the whole county.  In District 3-At large it’s Chris McKinney and Ron Satterfield, in District 5-At Large the candidates are Stephen Potter and Krista Halbrader.
