Thieves made off with canned goods collected for Helping His Hands Food Pantry. The break-in occurred sometime early Friday morning at the Vincennes Beauty College. The individuals broke through a window and made off with the canned goods.
Helping His Hands Director Scott Shipman says while he was initially despondent over the loss, he says the community has responded with an outpouring of donations. .
Shipman added that people can also bring canned goods to the Vincennes Beauty College today (Saturday) to replace what was stolen. Helping His Hands Food Pantry provides food for those individuals and families who are in need. Shipman says donations are espcially important this time of year as they run into people needing assistance during the holidays.
