The Knox County Library Board has accepted the resignation of Brian Spangle. Spangle has overseen the Library’s Historical Collection over the last 30-years.
Library Director Emily Bunyan says Spangle will be difficult to replace.
In addition maintaining the Library’s Historical collection, Spangle published his first book last year, titled Vincennes History You Didn’t Know which is compolation of articles he had written over the years for the Vincennes Sun-Commercial.
Spangle’s last day at the library will be November 30th.
The library board gave Bunyan permission to hire Katie Wade, a volunteer whose been working at the library the past two years to assume some of Spangle’s duties.
