Over 50 graduated this week from the ISP Academy in Indianapolis

The Indiana State Police Recruit Academy’s 76th graduation ceremony in Indianapolis saw 55 new officers earn the title of Trooper.

State Police Superintendent Douglas Carter addressed the graduates Thursday night before Indiana Supreme Court Justice Loretta Rush presented the new recruits with their badge and official I-D.   Each of the 55 will now report to one of the state’s 14 posts across Indiana.

Some local graduates included, Jordan C. Lee of Vincennes who’ll be working at the Evansville Post.

Steve D. Nolan of Loogootee will report to the Jasper post.

Three Jasper residents graduated and they were Casey J. Boekman, Connor Giesler and Nathanial Kern.  Kern and Giesler have been assigned to Jasper and Boekman to Evansville.
