Pay raise in store for Bicknell employees.

Bicknell City employees will see more money in their take home pay beginning next year. The City Council included a 4-percent payraise for all city workers as part of the 2017 budget which was adopted by the City Council Monday Night. The budget, which totaled $1.68 million dollars, funds major city departments including police, fire, park and recreation and street and sanitation. The budget plan also includes an appropriation of 150-thousand dollars for EDIT in 2017. Bicknell Mayor Tom Estabrook says the EDIT will primarily fund additional infrastructure improvements. demolition of blighted properties in the city and improvements to the city parks.
