Every Child Deserves a Hero and this weekend you can be one too !

The Knox County Prevent Child Abuse Council is hosting its 2nd Annual Superhero 5-K run at the Vincennes University Track on Saturday.

Council President Tanya Bezy says you don’t have to dress like a Superhero to participate, but it is highly encouraged.

Registration gets underway at 8:30 am Saturday followed by a Family Fun run at 9. Bezy says the 5-K Superhero run starts around 9:30 am and will follow the same route as the Trailblazer 5-K Run.

Awards will be handed out for best costume including most original and most dynamic team. Awards will also be given for the best time in age group.

For more information you can call Tanya Bezy at 812-881-5762. or visit the Knox County Prevent Child Abuse Facebook Page.
