Indy is dangerous

Indianapolis was listed as the 13th most dangerous city in the country.

That’s according to a new report by 24/7 Wall St. The report, that RTV6 reports looks at 2015 crime data from the FBI, cited Indy’s 148 murders from last year as the main reason for the ranking. “The city reported 440 robberies and 752 aggravated assaults per 100,000 people in 2015, much more than the national rates of 102 and 238 per 100,000 people, respectively,” according to the report. This year, the city has 116 homicides as of Oct. 2, 16 more than this time last year. The report also noted the city’s murder and rape rates were much higher than the national figures.
