After the Good Samaritan Hospital Board meeting, members of the board were treated to a special tour of the new Orthopedics Center in the Gibault Memorial Tower.
The new facility is one of the final big pieces of the Beacon Project. The new center will help physicians to better assist patients with a variety of orthopedic problems. It will also offer x-rays and physical therapy to those who need it. Dr. Molly Weiss is one of three physicians who will be working in the new facility.
She hopes it will allow them to serve the community for years to come.
The new facility officially opened this week. Physicians will start seeing patients on monday.
