Samanetha Jean Thomas, 31, passed away at 7:48 am on September 22, 2016.

Samanetha was born in Olney, IL on February 23, 1985 the daughter of Kenneth Wayne and Laurie (Hulfachor) Thomas.
Samanetha was a 2003 graduate of Red Hill High School and worked in the child support department at the Knox County Prosecutors office. She enjoyed her family very much and loved vacations and going on trips. Samanetha loved to talk and never met a stranger and always made sure everything was perfect. She was very organized, planned every last detail out, and took great pride in her job at the prosecutors office. Samanetha loved making collages of photographs, loved Blake Shelton, loved to shop and had a passion for Vera Bradley purses.
Survivors include her parents, Kenneth and Laurie Thomas of Vincennes; grandmother, Pauline Schultz of Sumner, IL; brother, Joshua Wayne Thomas and his wife Starla of Bridgeport, sister, Tabetha Brooke Thomas of Vincennes, brother, Zachary Ryan Thomas of Oaktown; boyfriend, Rusty Sheffield of Vincennes; nieces, McKinze Thomas, Kaylee Thomas, Xzandra Cox, Aria Allender; nephew Kolton Thomas, extended sisters, Christen Nicholas and Ava Allender, and a big extended family. Samanetha was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Jean “Lady” Hulfachor and paternal grandfather, Fred Schultz.
Funeral services for Samanetha will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Friends may visit with Samanetha’s family from 4-8 pm on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Goodwin Funeral Home.
