Arson investigation in Vincennes continues

Vincennes and Indiana State Police are investigating a house fire that occurred last week at 1331 Nicholas Street.

Fire Chief Sonny Pinkstaff says the fire has been ruled an arson. He says items found inside the home are commonly used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

The fire occurred around 8:40 p.m last Wednesday. Pinkstaff says flames were visible from the home as firefighters rolled up on the scene. Pinkstaff notified Vincennes Police. The Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab team was also called into to assist with the clean up. No injuries were reported.

Vincennes Police say no arrests have been made and the fire remains under investigation.

The house is owned by Stacy Pinkstaff. (No Relation to the Fire Chief).
