The achievement recognizes the trauma center’s dedication to providing optimal care for injured patients.
Good Sam becomes the 4th Indiana Level III Trauma Center in the state and the only verified trauma center in the Wabash Valley. of Indiana.
Verified trauma centers must meet the essential criteria that ensure trauma care capability and institutional performance. As a Level III trauma Center, Good Samaritan must have: including 24-hour immediate coverage by E-R Physicians and prompt availability of surgeons and anesthesologists.
Hospital President and CEO Rob Mclin says residents throughout Good Samaritan’s service area should take comfort knowing that, should the need arise, they have trained personnel to deal with life threatening injuries.
