Indiana Conservation Officers located the body of Ken Jones, 56, of Shelbyville, IL. in Turtle Creek Reservoir at about 8:20 last night in Sullivan County.

Jones’ wife contacted the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Dispatch at 5:52 pm stating she was concerned that husband had not returned from work. He was an employee of GE Betz and had been working at Hoosier Energy – Merom Generating Station.

Hoosier Energy employees located Mr. Jones’s truck and tools near the hot-water discharge which flows from the generating station into the reservoir. They suspected he may be in the water and requested assistance from law enforcement.

Indiana Conservation Officers conducted a boat based search of the water surface and a sonar search of the lake bed before locating Mr. Jones body. Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the incident.
