A Sullivan County man arrested for animal neglect. Indiana State Police arrested David Weger, 38, Monday night after dogs and rabbits were found living in poor conditions on East Washington Street in Sullivan.

Officers discovered two Pitbulls, two mixed breed dogs, four live rabbits and twenty-one deceased rabbits. They also reported seeing a lot of animal feces and urine along with a flea infestation, dry animal food scattered about, and no running water. The animals were taken from the house Saturday after a search warrant was issued. Weger faces 17 misdemeanor counts of abandoned and animal neglect. He was taken to the Sullivan County Jail.
