Phyllis Raye Mehling, 80, Vincennes, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the New Willow Manor.
Phyllis was born March 4, 1936, in Dubois County, the daughter of Raymond and Florence (Holder) Walls. She married Robert Lee Mehling on February 11, 1956. She retired as a clerk at Northside Pharmacy. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and played the organ there for several years. Phyllis was also in the Bunco group and Sunday Afternoon Ladies Social Club.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter Donna (Daniel) Sievers of Vincennes; son, Glenn H. (Phyllis Bruno) Mehling of Savoy, IL; grandchildren, Jenna (Vance) Perry of Monroe City, Rachel Sievers of Evansville, and Grant Sievers of Vincennes; great-grandson, Carter Perry; sister, Jenny Mutchman of Greenwood; and brother, Roy (Shirley) Walls of Jasper.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert, on March 19, 1993; and sister, Alberta Robinson.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a vigil service held at 7:00 PM at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Vincennes Chapel, 313 Church St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, September 1, 2016, at 11:00AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Dave Fleck officiating.
