A man accused of killing his girlfriend appeared for his initial hearing in a Sullivan County courtroom Monday.

A January 17th trial date was set for Joshua Hall. He is accused of killing 35-year-old Rustin Rehmel.

Police say Rehmel was found unresponsive in her Shelburn home on August 15th after her and Hall had been fighting at a bar in Farmersburg.

An autopsy determined Rehmel died of blunt force trauma to the head. Hall is facing several charges including voluntary and involuntary manslaughter. He is also facing reckless homicide and criminal confinement.
