Pence approval up, Holcomb and Gregg are tied

For the first time in months Gov. Mike Pence’s approval rating from Hoosiers is up over 50 percent.

That’s according to a new poll conducted by Monmouth University. The poll also shows Republican Lt. Gov. Eric Holcomb just barely edging out Democrat challenger John Gregg 42 to 41 percent. Holcomb has been running largely on Pence’s record. There were still 13 percent of Hoosiers undecided, according to the poll, which surveyed about 400 Indiana voters. Pence continues to campaign for Donald Trump, and with Trump about once a week. It was unclear from the data if Pence’s being picked as Trump’s running mate had anything to do with his new approval rating.
