The Annual Knox County Watermelon Festival, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, will be held this weekend in downtown Vincennes.
The two day festival has something for everyone; whether you want to test your watermelon seed spitting skills or try your hand at creating award winning barbeque.
Entertainment includes live bands, food and craft vendors, a pet show, a baby and toddler contest, and the Watermelon Queen contest.
Chamber President Marc McNeece says this year’s celebration features some new entertainment for children.
Festivities get underway at 5 PM on Friday. On Saturday, the Great American Grill off begins at 7 AM with various activities going on throughout the day until dusk.
