The Vincennes City Council passed an appropriation ordinance from the city’s EDIT and Riverboat funds to be used for youth sports, the downtown loft program, and to reconstruct the Vaughn Walking Trail at Gregg Park. $75,000 will go towards youth sports in Vincennes, $50,000 for the downtown loft program, and $100,000 to reconstruct the Vaughn walking trail at Gregg Park.  Parks Superintendent Steve Beaman told the Council Monday that  one mile trail needs to be replaced after many years of wear and tear. The asphalt based trail was constructed in 1998. The ordinance passed by a vote of 4-2 and will be up for discussion again at a future council meeting.
