Burglary and theft arrests reported from Wednesday…
-Vincennes Police arrested a man wanted for a parole violation Wednesday morning. Around 10 am Wednesday, officers went to an apartment in the 800 Block of North 8th Street and arrested 34-year-old Dustin Yarbrough. Police say he was wanted on an Illinois warrant for a parole violation.
-At 7 last night, police went to Wal Mart in Vincennes to investigate a report of shoplifting. 34-year-old Candida M. Richie of Vincennes and 39-year-old Jeremy Scott Jones of Freelandville were both arrested for theft. Richie was also found to be wanted on a warrant for a previous count of theft.
-At 4:20pm yesterday, Vincennes police made a traffic stop in the 500 block of Depot. There, they arrested 51-year-old James D. Hedge. He was charged with driving while suspended with a prior.
-At 3:50-pm yesterday, a burglary investigation led to charges against 39-year-old Vernon Kelly Roberts of Vincennes. He was booked into the Knox County Jail for a felony count of burglary and a misdemeanor count of resisting law enforcement. City Police were assisted by the county sheriff’s department in the arrest.
