Carolyn Deloris Blair, age 75 of St. Francisville, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016 in Washington, IN at The Legends Village. She was born in Mt. Carmel, IL on September 17, 1940 to Ira and Nola (Johnson) Strockbine.
She married John C. Blair on December 31, 1958, and he preceded her in death in December of 1995.
Carolyn was member of the Emmanuel Tabernacle in St. Francisville and attended until she was unable. She had worked as a CNA at the United Methodist Village and then worked as an in-home caregiver for many years.
Surviving family includes: her four children- Lori Welton of St. Francisville, John Blair and his wife Regina of Sumner, Lynn McCullough of Lawrenceville, and Lisa Shearer of Mt. Carmel: three sisters- Marilyn Donovan of Lawrenceville, Ann Smith of Maryville, MO, and Patricia Mills of Arizona: ten grandchildren- Ashley Boyer and husband James, Cody Welton and wife Lauren, Lucas Welton and wife Kaylee, Whitney Blair and fiancé Levi VanDyke, Jessica Blair Hawkins, Rachel McCullough, Lindsey Burdette and husband Steve, Elizabeth McCullough, Aaron Shearer and wife Crystal, and Christe Sikes and husband Joey: twenty two great-grandchildren- Ayden and Ayva Boyer, Bryer and Ella Welton, Trinity, Adriana, and Jackson Welton, Chloe, Lyla, and Bryan VanDyke, Nora Hawkins, Amnesia and John McCullough, Jesse and Annaleigh Burdette, Erich Brown, Tyler Thompson, Dylan and Dustin Shearer, and Heather and Brooklyn Sikes.
She was preceded in death by: her parents- Ira and Nola Strockbine: her husband- John C. Blair: one sister- Dottie Maden: and two brothers- Dale and Bill Strockbine.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Oaklawn Cemetery in St. Francisville. Cunningham-Nichols Funeral Home of St. Francisville is in charge of arrangements.
