The Odon Journal reports that the Odon Town Council agreed to allow Indiana Rail Road to close their crossing on the south end of Gum Street. Gum is one of two crossings the railroad had targeted in their initial offering. The company offered to pay the town $15,000 for each crossing. The board did not agree to close Elm, which is a primary route to the Odon Sawmill.
