The Knox County Parks and Recreation Department has selected a contractor to lay a half mile of asphalt on a new trail at Fox Ridge Nature Park. Huey Excavating out of Sandborn will do the construction. The new trail is just one step in the complete overhaul of the former golf course. Construction is expected to begin in late July. Roma Sobhani, Parks Superintendent, says the rest of the plans are still in progress and they will now begin seeking bids for the restrooms.
