The Knox County Library Board is looking to make revisions in the Library’s policies and by-laws.

The move comes after some Board members became upset after learning that Library Director Emily Bunyan had spent money on renovation work on the Library Annex Building. Current policy allows the library director to spend up to 4-thousand dollars a month without consent from board members. Treasurer Jim Beery had made a recommendation to reduce that amount to 500 dollars, but failed to gain enough support to bring it to a vote. Board Members agreed to hold a series of special meetings to review the policies and by-laws and discuss revisions that may be needed.
