The Evansville Courier and Press reports that a former Warrick County man, with Washington, Indiana ties, faces two counts of child molestation from an event that reportedly happened five years ago.
According to the newspaper’s report, the Warrick County Sheriff’s Department received a call from a mom reporting her daughter had been allegedly raped when the family lived in Newburgh and the girl was 7 or 8 years old.
As a result of the accusations, 49-year-old Gerald Morgan, whose current residence is listed as Miami, Florida, faces two felony charges of child molesting. Morgan was arrested Sunday, and had his initial hearing set Morgan’s bond at $10,000 cash. Morgan paid his bond but was ordered by the court not to leave Indiana. The Courier and Press reports that according to court records, Morgan will live with his father in Washington, Indiana.
