Evansville officials are inviting the public into a long-shuttered Mesker amphitheater for a close-up look at its structural woes as they weigh whether it should be renovated. The Mesker Amphitheatre closed in 2012 and its problems include roof damage, a lackluster electrical system and deteriorating rooms. The southwestern Indiana city is holding open house events at the amphitheater for the public on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.
