The Good Samaritan Foundation recently awarded scholarships to 26 local students.
The gifts total over $40,000. The awards, which ranged from $200 to $2,500 in value, were all presented to students pursuing a career in healthcare. Funding for the scholarships was established by the foundation and in response to memorials of family members and loved ones who worked in healthcare or benefitted from the services of Good Samaritan. The foundation has been awarding scholarships since 1998 and since then over $155,000 has been distributed to aid those pursuing education.
