Members of the Knox County Development Corporation outlined their new strategic plan during a public hearing Thursday afternoon at Pioneer Oil.
The new 3-year plans was developed with input from community focus groups and outlines four primary goals not the least of which is economic development, promoting entrepreneurship and innovation, cultivating a skilled workforce and adding amenities to draw people to the community.
It’s an aggressive plan, but one KCDC Executive Director Kent Utt believes is achievable.

Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum applauded the plan. He says it provides a vision and sets goals of where the community wants to go.
