A Sullivan County motorcycle rider was airlifted from a crash at 3:40-pm yesterday.

State Police and Sullivan County emergency agencies responded to the accident on a county road a half mile east of Carlisle.  36-year-old Marc A. Phegley of Carlisle was westbound on a ’99 Harley when he left the road on the south side and went into a ditch.  Phegley was ejected. He managed to make it to a nearby house away as a passing motorist called 911.

After being stabilized he was airlifted by Lifeline to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.  Authorities say his injuries were serious and possibly life threatening.
