Joe Neighbors, 62 passed away at 7:00 pm on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Joe was born on November 10, 1953 in Vincennes the son of Clarence and Gladys (Lockhart) Neighbors. He married Donna Cook on march 8, 1975.
Joe worked at Essex Wire for several years and was currently working at Vincennes University. He loved fishing and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandson. Joe never met a stranger.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Neighbors of Vincennes, daughter, Mandy Devers and her husband Tommy, Jr. of Oaktown, son, Matt Neighbors and his wife Mary Ann of Brownsburg, sister, Debbie Fossmeyer, brothers, Jerry Neighbors, David Neighbors, Rick Neighbors, Rex Neighbors, grandchildren, Hannah White and her husband Brandon, Crystal Devers, Mason Neighbors, Merrik Neighbors and great grandson, Waylon White. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, sister’s Shirley Merrimon, and Yvonne and Mildred Neighbors and brothers, Clarence Neighbors, Jr., Claude Neighbors and Bill Neighbors.
Funeral services for Joe will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with Rev. Ray Tromley officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
