Tommy “Tom” Dean McRoberts, 75, of 6042 S. St. Thomas Road, Vincennes, passed away at 3:25 am Friday, May 20, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
He was born on October 10, 1940 in Vincennes to Blythe and Mary Lucille (Moore) McRoberts.
Tom had worked at Schenk’s Sod Farm and retired from the Maintenance Department at Vincennes Community School Corporation. After his retirement, he worked part time for Rex Alton Companies for three years. In his spare time he loved to go hunting and fishing and was proud to serve his company in the Army.
Surviving is his wife, Carol Lee (Reel) McRoberts, whom he married on December 22, 1995; his children, Shelli (Paul) Arroyo of Vincennes, Michael McRoberts of Vincennes, Christina Angari of Margiti, Texas, Tommy Moore of Huntsville, TX, and Kimberly Ann McRoberts of St. Louis; his step sons, Kevin (Wendy) Mischler, Troy (Brenda) Mischler, and Patrick (Brandi) Mischler; his sister, Mary McRoberts of Vincennes; and his brother, Jim (Angela) McRoberts of North Carolina.
Also surviving is his grandchildren, Jessica, Haleigh, Kaydee, Madison, Alexis, Heidi, Destiny, Garrett Hannah, and his grandson, Hunter, who was the apple of his eye; and his great grandson, Oliver.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son; and a son-in-law, Danny Lewis.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Finnan officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
