Betty Battleson Hare, 84, of 1117 Pine, Lawrenceville, passed away at 3:20 pm Sunday May 15 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born March 14, 1932 in Vincennes to Clarence and Clara (Morgan) King. Betty retired from Hamilton Glass after 35 years where she was union president for 20 years. Betty was a member of the Bethlehem General Baptist Church and was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing cards, fishing, family get togethers, and loved her family.
Surviving are her children, Fred (Alice) Kimmell of Vincennes, Diana (Sonny) Arnold of Vincennes, Mark (Diane) Kimmell of Lawrenceville, and Tom (Eva) Kimmell of Victoria, TX; her companion, Paul Preston; eleven grandchildren, Jeff Kimmell, Brad Kimmell, Jamie Dwyer, William Arnold II, Anthony Arnold, Shane Kimmell, Mark James Kimmell, Megan Middlecoat, Brandy Kimmell, Mandy Kimmell, and Brittany Kimmell; and 28 great grandchildren.
Preceding Betty in death were her parents; her first husband, James Kimmell, second husband, Roger Battleson, and her third husband, William Hare.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday May 20, 2016 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Pete White officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
