Weekend Arrests

Incidents involving battery and auto theft lead to charges against local residents.

 

 

 

 

 

-A traffic stop at Lowe’s parking lot in Vincennes Sunday at 2:15pm resulted in the arrest of 51-year-old Larry A. Robinson.  He was charged with disorderly conduct.

-At 6:30-am on Saturday, Vincennes police investigated a battery at 520 South 7th.  Arrested was 35-year-old Walter W. Lawrence III.  He’s charged with battery, strangulation, criminal confinement and interference with reporting a crime.  Vincennes officers were assisted by the Knox County and Lawrence County, Illinois Sheriff’s Departments.

-Police arrested 2 men while investigating a case of auto theft on Saturday. 35-year-old Christopher J. Hartley is charged with auto theft, resisting law enforcement, and on a Tippecanoe County warrant.  29-year-old Chadd M. Kuesh was arrested on a Knox County warrant and for criminal trespassing in a vehicle.  The arrests took place at 10th and Hart Streets.

-On Saturday, Vincennes police investigated a drug case in the 1700 block of Joice Street.  31-year-old Brittany Renee Burgess of Vincennes was charged with possession of a syringe and drug paraphernalia and on a Knox County bench warrant.

-Arrest reports indicate that Vincennes police were involved in a vehicle pursuit involving a stolen vehicle on Saturday.  At 5:30-pm at 15th and Willow, Thomas McGhee, 25, of Vincennes was caught.  He was booked into the Knox County Jail for auto theft, resisting law enforcement, theft, reckless driving and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

-The Knox County Sherriff’s Department arrested 37-year-old Jack Edward Carpenter on Saturday.  He was picked up on a probation violation.

-Bicknell Police arrested 38-year-old Jefferey Leroy for disorderly conduct on Sunday.  He was jailed on a $3000 bond.
