National Adoption group will find homes for the 11 remaining dogs from an animal cruelty case.

A group of abandoned dogs found in a Knox County home have been adopted.

The National Brittany Rescue and Adoption Network has agreed to take the dogs currently housed at the Vincennes Animal Shelter and find new homes for them.

Animal Shelter Director Laura Arial says the group sent a check for 11-hundred dollars to the city for the animals.

She says the dogs will be sent to a foster home first to see if there are any behavioral problems.

Arial says the group learned about the dogs from a video the animal shelter put together that was shared on facebook.

she says at least one of the twelve dogs was adopted by a Vincennes resident.

Meanwhile, 58-year-old Gary Linus Dunt is facing multiple charges of animal cruelty after allegedly leaving the animals locked up at a residence on North Camp Arthur Road without food or water.

Knox County Sheriff Mike Morris says the remains of six other dogs were found dead on the property.

Arials says the animals are expected to be picked up sometime week.
