30 year old eagle will likely remain in captivity.

A bald eagle believed to be Indiana’s oldest wild eagle was recently rescued after it was found hurt. According to the Greene County Daily World, the nearly 30-year-old eagle was found near Worthington last week with a dislocated wing. Land owners then notified the Indiana Raptor Center in Nashville, who took the bird in for care. The DNR says the bird was moved from Wisconsin to a nest along Monroe Lake in 1987 when it was still an eaglet. The eagle is still identified as bald eagle C14 thanks to a band on its leg. DNR officials say the bird will likely continue to live in captivity once its wing heals.
