The Life After Meth program receives anonymous help for a new transition home after the former house burned.

Knox County’s Life After Meth program has found a new home for its clients.

According to the Vincennes Sun-Commercial, LAM Director Peter Haskins says an anonymous helper, is renting a house to LAM, which helps drug addicts transition back into the community.

The organization’s previous home at 1131 Broadway was destroyed in an early morning fire back on March 16th. The cause of that fire remains under investigation.

Following the fire residents of the LAM home were housed at the Helping His Hands Shelter.

Haskins tells the newspaper their new home has six bedrooms and 2 and a-half baths. Two men are already living in the house and a third is on the way.

Haskins indicated that while the displaced residents have been well-supported since the fire, The program could always use clothing and toiletries for their clients.

Those wishing to provide supplies can contact Haskins at 812-887-8374 or drop off supplies at the LAM office at 2525 North Sixth Street in Vincennes.
