First bear seen in Indiana in 140 years was captured.

A black bear has been seen in northern Indiana and southern Michigan was caught and put to sleep. It was the first bear that humans have seen in the state in 140 years. The bear was caught in Stevensville, Michigan.  The bear was seen in Indiana in  St. Joseph County, in 2015. Since then, it has traveled around the state line area. There was a plan to capture and relocate the bear by DNR last year. Since then, wildlife authorities believed the bear may have become a threat to people.
